From Abu Huraira r.a. who said: “Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Cleaning a utensil that has been licked by a dog is by washing it seven times and the first washing is mixed with soil”.

Huraian Hadith:
Impurities of dogs and pigs are considered heavy impurities (mughallazah). These include everything derived from these two animals or of their kind.
Ways to purify it:
- Clean the part that is affected.
- Wash seven times. One of which should use clean soil which is mixed with water.
- Use pure (mutlak) water for the remaining six washings until the smell, colour and taste are removed.
