Narrated by al-Aswad who said: That I asked A’isya: “What did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to do in his house?”. She replied, “He used to keep himself busy serving his family and when it was the time for prayer he would go for it.”

1002 Performing Night Prayer
Narrated by Nafi’ ibn Umar who said: “While the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was on the pulpit, a man asked him how to offer the night prayers. He replied, ‘Pray two raka’t at a time and then two and then two and so on, and if you are afraid of the dawn (the approach of the time of the Fajr prayer) pray one raka’t and that will be the witr for all the raka’t which you have offered’.” Ibn Umar said, “The last raka’t of the night prayer should be odd for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered it to be so.”

Narrated by Sufyan ibn Asid al-Hadrami: “I heard the Apostle of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: “It is great treachery that you should tell your brother something and have him believe you when you are lying.”

1004 Leaders Do not be selfish
Narrated Abdullah: Allah’s Apostle (peace and blessings be upon him) said to us, “You will see after me, selfishness (on the part of other people) and other matters that you will disapprove of.” They asked, “What do you order us to do, ‘O Allah’s Apostle? (under such circumstances)?” He said, “Pay their rights to them (to the rulers) and ask your right from Allah.”

1005 Disobedient Wife
Narrated by Ibn ‘Abbas, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority of its dwellers were women who were ungrateful.” It was asked, “Do they disbelieve in Allah?" (or are they ungrateful to Allah?) He replied, “They are ungrateful to their husbands and are ungrateful for the favours and the good (charitable deeds) done to them. If you have always been good (benevolent) to one of them and then she sees something in you (not of her liking), she will say, ‘I have never received any good from you’.”

1006 The Allowable Age Limit
Narrated by Ibn Umar r.a.: “The Prophet inspected him on the day of Uhud while he was fourteen years old, and the Prophet did not allow him to take part in the battle. He was inspected again by the Prophet on the day of Al-Khandaq (i.e. Battle of the Trench) while he was fifteen years old, and the Prophet allowed him to take part in the battle.”

1007 Bersabar Dalam Berdoa

Dari Abu Hurairah r.a bahawa nabi SAW telah bersabda:Allah sentiasa memperkenankan doa seorang hamba selama doa itu tidak mengandungi (perkara) dosa, (perkara yang) memutuskan silaturrahim dan selama tidak meminta supaya cepat-cepat diperkenankan. Lalu baginda ditanya oleh seseorang:Apa maksudnya meminta dicepatkan?Jawab baginda:Umpamanya seseorang itu berkata dalam doanya:Aku telah berdoa, aku telah berdoa tetapi aku belum melihat doaku diperkenankan. Lalu aku putus asa dan berhenti berdoa.

1008 Allah s.w.t. Will Ignore
Abu Huraira r.a. reported that Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him) said meaning: “There are three (types of) people whom Allah will neither speak to on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them (i.e., from their sins), nor will He (even) look at them (with Mercy); and they will have a painful chastisement. They are: an old man who commits fornication, a king who is a great liar, and a poor man who is proud.”

1009 The Obligation of Prayer
From Anas r.a.: (Among the things which Allah s.w.t. revealed to him then, was): “...fifty prayers were enjoined on his followers in a day and a night.” …then the Prophet went back to his Lord till the enjoined prayers were reduced to only five prayers. Allah added, “Every good deed will be rewarded as ten times so it is fifty (prayers) in reward but you are to perform only five (in practice). Allah s.w.t. said, “The word that comes from Me does not change”.

1010 Prohibition to Withdraw Charity
Narrated by Abdullah bin Umar: “Umar bin Al-Khattab gave a horse to charity in Allah’s cause and later he saw it being sold in the market and intended to purchase it. He went to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked his permission. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Do not take back what you have given in charity.”

1011 Elements of Persecution
Narrated by Abu Huraira r.a.: Allah’s Apostle (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the selling of things by a town dweller on behalf of a desert dweller; and similarly Najsh was forbidden. And one should not urge somebody to return the goods to the seller so as to sell him his own goods; nor should one demand the hand of a girl who has already been engaged to someone else; and a woman should not try to cause some other woman to be divorced in order to take her place.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said which means: “He who has extra vehicle more than his need should give charity to those who do not have, and he who has excess food supply should donate to those who do not have. He then mentioned a variety of other properties that he could think of until we see that none of us really have an advantage”.

1017 Four Key Wraths
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said which means: “There are four groups in that invoke the wrath of God in the morning and the wrath of God in the evening”. Abu Huraira r.a. said: “Who are they ‘O Messenger of Allah? He answered: “The men who behave like women, women who act like boys. People who have sex with animals and people that make a same sex relationship.”

1018 The Best Option
Narrated by A’isya r.a. who said: “Whenever Allah’s Apostle (peace and blessings be upon him) was given the choice of one of two matters he would choose the easier of the two as long as it was not sinful to do so, but if it was sinful, he would not approach it. Allah’s Apostle never took revenge over anybody for his own sake but (he did) only when Allah’s legal bindings were outraged, in which case he would take revenge for Allah’s sake.

1019 Migration is a Battle
Narrated by Abdullah bin Masud who said: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Never a Prophet had been sent before me by Allah towards his nation who had not among his people (his) disciples and companions who followed his ways and obeyed his command. Then there came after them their successors who said whatever they did not practise, and practised whatever they were not commanded to do. He who strove against them with his hand was a believer: he who strove against them with his tongue was a believer, and he who strove against them with his heart was a believer and beyond that there is no faith even to the extent of a mustard seed.”

From ‘Auf bin Malik al-Asyja’i r.a. who said: “We would use amulets (ruqyah) in the days of ignorance, so we asked Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding it”, he said “bring to me your amulets, thereafter he said: “There is nothing wrong with amulets if they do contain syirk (in them)”.
