The Glory of Martyr for Allah (Fisabilillah)
From Abu Hurairah r.a., he said: “The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked, what good deed is equivalent to jihad fi sabilillah?”. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: “You will not be able to practice it!" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked again for two or three times, but still he answered the same. Finally, he said: “The mujahid fi sabilillah (fighting in the cause of Allah s.w.t.) is comparable to those who fast, pray, obey the words of Allah, fast and pray non-stop until the mujahideen returned from the battlefield”.

“Abu Bakr came to my house while two small Ansari girls were singing beside me the stories of the Ansar concerning the Day of Buath. And they were not singers. Abu Bakr said in protest, “Musical instruments of Satan in the house of Allah’s Apostle!” It happened on the day of Eid and Allah’s Apostle said, “O Abu Bakr! There is an Eid for every nation and today is our Eid”.

The Eid Prayer
From Abi Said al-Khudri, r.a. who said: “Normally, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) will go out to the open land on Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha, and the first thing he did was to pray and then (after the prayer), he turned towards the masses (to give a sermon) while (the congregation) sat in their respective rows (saf), and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) will advise and bequest them (so as to always lead a pious life) as well as to order them (to always conduct Allah’s bidding and leave His prohibitions).

He who took advantage of it, it is good for him, and he who preferred to observe fast, there is no sin upon him”.
